HAVE TO BY LAW IS 1 OF 3 CREDIT REPORTING AGENCIES. wENT TO ANNUALCREDITREPORT.COM AND SUBMITTED FORM AND JUST GET TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES NOTICE. THEN USED PHONE AND TOLD WILL MAIL IN 3 WEEKS- EPIC FAIL
Have account. Did not recognize user name and password.
Reset password twice. Failed to recognize just changed and just verified password twice. Called in and waited in hold 29 minutes no answer after bad auto system repeats without listening. This is system running credit scores and is titled with incompetence.
After 29 minutes on hold. System hangs up .Failure after failure.

Cannot get live personal explanation. Send me in circles, and although they say that there is nothing on my report to cause it (which I already know), they refuse to correct the situation.

Any and everyone whose information was compromised should have been made aware.
So I followed the links to submit a claim for the data breach, it says there was a deadline to file a claim. Im highly pissed and upset about this. Myself and others should have been notified.
People impacted were paid out $20,000 each. I never knew of this nor did I receive any type of compensation yet my personal information has came up over the last couple years exposed, leaked, or a problem for different reason.
Preferred solution: Allotted compensation and paid membership to protect my info. Now days hacking and fraud are at an all time high.

DATA BREACH/STOLEN IDENTITY
My identity was stolen from Equifax and from the class action lawsuit I was awarded $7.57 cents for stolen identity. Slap in the face from a corrupt so-called business that is above the law.
So far it has caused me much grief.
IRS received a return with my info for 250,000 dollars that I did not file. This has happened twice with IRS and I had to prove that it was not my return. Made me look like a criminal. I was guilty until proven innocent.
Equifax hides behind their veil of secrecy and will not provide the answers to questions you ask.
They are a threat to our democracy. Equifax should be banned.

No one helped resolve my issue at equifax, I needed to have charges from equifax removed from my bank, and cancel my credit card to avoid future charges as Equifax would not let me cancel my account.
I wanted one credit report, and was unknowingly signed up for monthly fees that they will not let me cancel. Beware of this company, and stay away.

Need information on freezing account
i cant get passed your computer to get information about freezing my account. i dont know what im doing or do i need to do this!!!

Website allows you to unfreeze but not freeze again????
while logged on to my account I could not freeze after unfreezing. Does it make sense you can unfreeze but not freeze??
Automated line says you can do both things online but you cannot. I was told to call their automated line 1 88* *** **** and asked to answer questions about loans/credit cards back to 2019 - ****. I was told by the automated line I "could not be helped at this time". Basically the only way to have the freeze placed on again is to wait for the un-freeze to expire since you CANNOT speak to a person to get help.
Get your act together instead of frustrating consumers. Fix the assinine website and/or make it easier to speak to someone to get help for critical tasks.

Tried to get Equifax freeze put on. They sent letter saying I was was not froze and was not to be frozen forever.
Calling for days going through responses asked for then it hangs up. I want to freeze acct. if I get a fraudulent charge I am suing your company!

Have no option since they are 1 of 3 credit reporting agencies and therefore can be totally indifferent and incompetent
I have maintained an online account at Equifax for years. I needed to place a credit freeze on the account but was unable to log in and was told to call customer support. I called and was on hold for 48 minutes, then their software (to take pictures of proof of identity, etc.) did not work. I was sent another link and that one also did not work.
Then, I was disconnected from the tech support that was located overseas. Why they would make it this difficult for an existing client is beyond comprehension and simply reinforces their already horrible reputation.
Preferred solution: The ability to log in to my online account.

I tried to log into my account and was told to call a number. I did, and after 35 minutes, hung up.
I tried several other numbers, and had the same experience.
All I wanted to do was to change my password. I was very frustrated to say the least and after an hour of wasted time, I gave up!
I had no problem with the other 2 credit agencies that I contacted.

They are refusing to address or change the lie they have placed on my credit report. I have reached out to the Executive Assistant who has not yet responded.However I will stay on top of it to make sure they make the corrected changes to it, which is costing me time and money which I will need to be composited for.

Around March 26, 2024, North American Recovery placed a debit collection on my credit report (which they shouldn't have). AFTER REMOVING IT.
EQUIFAX DID SOMETHING to make my credit score go down, and all my loan amounts on my cards were lowered.
EQUIFAX is trying not to address the issue of the wrong EQUIFAX has done by trying to put it on North American Recovery, North America Recovery is not reporting the negative on my credit report. Nor are they responsible for the lowering of the limit of the credit cards, but what's not being addressed is the limits on the cards were a lot higher prior, given the amounts have been lowered it would put my usage at the limit?. North American Recovery was removed the same day it was placed on the credit report.
It was only being mentioned because it was right at this time when EQUIFAX DID WHAT THEY DID.
This is costing me time and money. I have requested this to be removed by disputing it, certificated letter of 15 U.S.
Code § 1681to Equifax and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) complaint (which was responded to as the North American Recovery is not reporting the negative on my credit report). Information was requested I have responded with that, with no late payments or another negative reportings. Yet, they still have not removed the inaccurate information that was put on my credit report by EQUIFAX.
Whoever has done this at Equifax.
EQUIFAX will be held liable. I am requesting you to have this inaccuracy removed from my credit report.
