My husband and I wanted a 1 time report , which was clearly stated. We were charged 3 months in a row, each. My credit card expired and they were still able to get the money off, because they attached an account number. Honestly, I don't understand, but I did contact the bank and they are permitted to do this. SO , after 3 months of payments for 2 people and multiple calls I FINALLY received confirmation emails that next month it will be cancelled.

Ridiculous policy

I had to open an investigation with Equifax because a credit report done by them for Loan application showed that I had a 'delinquent account' with Koodo due to 9 missed payments. My loan was denied because of this and I have never had services with Koodo (this also didn't show up on my credit report I did personally 6 months earlier). While trying to get it sorted out they made it clear that the only way for me to see how the investigation was going would be to pay $20/month for their online credit reporting. I was then told that I could cancel at any time but only via a 1-800 number, there's no way to cancel online. After telling them that I was going to be travelling abroad for an extended period of time and it would be inconvenient for me to find a phone to use/pay to use a phone just for this purpose, the "customer service" rep I was speaking to said "Oh yes, you can do that then" (referring to cancelling online). I reminded him that he had just told me explicitly that there was no way of cancelling online, and suggested that he was saying I could now only to placate me & end the conversation. He asked if I consented to starting this online file..."no...you need to check if I will be able to cancel online or not first". After putting me on hold, he confirmed that the ONLY WAY to cancel this ONLINE SERVICE was via phone. How does that make sense? It's 2015 Equifax...your online service should be completely accessible (and able to be cancelled) FULLY ONLINE. Not impressed. Let's see if they actually solve this issue they've created on my credit report.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!

So true!! I didn't even want a subscription. Informed them 6 months ago did not want a subscription. The super I spoke with informed me she will refund what I paid ONLY to pay $30 to view my credit scores. Six months later I see on my bank statement they have still been charging me $20 subscription! When I asked them after being in the phone more than an hour with rude, incompetent agents I was told they can not do refunds and placed blame on billing! STAY AWAY FROM EQUIFAX!!!

Worst customer service

I had to use fraud protection on my file with Equifax Canada a couple of years ago. All went well till I decided to sell my house and buy a new one; when I did that I also had to change my cell number as I wanted a new number where I am moving. I needed a new mortgage for my new house so the banks will call; so I called Equifax to change my number but they told me it is very difficult and better cancel the fraud protection and gave me the details on how to do that. I did; I sent them by fax as instructed; of course after three days of trying their only fax which serve millions; after that I called again to check; they confirmed receiving it and all ok; and I should let the banks call within 24 hours. This did not happen!; so I went to their branch in North York and the lady said she can do nothing; call them; I did inform of her and the man said yes we received it and all will be ok in 24 hours. The lady at the counter after I closed advised me to call again: i did within the same minute; a new voice come on and says that the papers were not clear and they sent us a letter asking us to resend the papers!! within the same two minutes two opinions. So I sent all the papers by courier; and kept on trying to send again by fax for three days; no success; I called and the same think; the man says well they still did not receive the courier and I should wait 5 - 7 days before I call them!! the courier was over night and I received a confirmation of delivery. The problem is I am loosing money everyday from lenders as I still can not do my mortgage...Help any one!! Worst company ever; they still do not have the invention of emails and scans; they do not understand that you can not serve millions with one fax machine!!

Creditors continue to show derogatory after BK discharge

After checking for one year. Your agency continues to report several creditors as derogatory. These debts were discharged in federal court in BK 14-7****. It is my understanding that my report can accurately report my bankruptcy and discharge, but not report my situation as simply " derogatory" as if I just stopped paying. My attorney contacted each reporting agency and the creditors as well months ago by letter. Any assistance in accurately reporting my situation is appreciated. I am willing to travel to the nearest location and bring any paper work that I have to clear up my report. I have been unable to locate the nearest facility. Information on where the nearest physical address for Equifax is appreciated.

Riley or Rie (September 14, 2:30pm & 3:00pm) India Laughing with another person about the call and pushing numbers while on the phone. Pretends to not hear me and yells constantly talking over me that if I don’t say anything she will end the credit requests and conversation. I request to speak with a manager after this occurs multiple times. She then states if I would like to speak with an American manager, then hangs up. 2nd call with a male, unknown name, refused to give name. (September 14, 3:15pm) India Man asks for my personal information and is laughing in the background with other workers. He then states that he is going to look up my file and for me to hold. 10-15 minutes later, he returns to the call and also pretends not to hear me, warning that he will hang up if I don’t say anything. He laughs in the background with other workers like the female employee I spoke with, and then hangs up.

Equifax Customer support executives are Rude and will *** of any customer !!!!!

the company's customer support executives when I have called were asking more than 10 long questions ( WOW !!!!) to identify myself before even to ask why did I call. They were very rude to start with and behaves as if they are from Police department. Too many questions not required to idenfy the customers, even banks ask only 3 questions. what a height of non sense policy by them ??? Their CIO should first call the customer support as a customer and find out how end customer will feel. I was ready to cancel my cancellation but after my experience, decided not to continue with them. The customer support team can *** off any customers !!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

I CONTACTED EQUAFAX IN GOOD FAITH 2 DAYS AGO FOR A REPORT. I HAVE CALLED THERE SIX TIMES, AND HAVE SENT AT LEAST 10 E MAILS, TRYING TO GET ACCESS TO MY REPORT AND TO CHANGE MY MIS-SPELLED NAME, ALL TO NO AVAIL. THEY NOW WANT TO PUT THE ONUS ON ME TO PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION TO THEM TO VERIFY MY NAME, WHEN IT WAS CLEARLY SPELLED OUT IN FULL ON THE CREDIT CARD THEY USED TO DEBIT MY ACCOUNT. I PAID OVER 25 DOLLARS FOR A WORTHLESS REPORT WHICH I CANNOT ACCESS, AND WHICH THEY REFUSE TO RECTIFY, REFLECTING MY PROPER NAME. THE NAME THAT IT IS MADE OUT FOR IS NOT MY NAME, NOT EVEN CLOSE..WHAT A RIP OFF....DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE GUYS..PLEASE..

VICTIM OF IDENTITY THEFT - Equifax REFUSES Block

I was the victim of identity theft. Upon being notified by the State Police of the theft, I had filed a formal police report. They conducted an investigation which led to the confession, arrest and ultimately charging the perpetrator with Identity Theft. He is now going through the Courts, where he will be sentenced. I supplied copies of all information received from the State Police, including the signed Police Report and Arrest Record of the individual, which specifically outlines each and every accounts opened (with account numbers). I asked that Equifax block these accounts from my file. They refused, stating that my personal information matched the information on file with the creditor. I e-mailed the President, Rudy Polder, hoping that he could assist. Celestina Spencer e-mailed me, stating that the creditor verified that the SSN, DOB, name and address were correct. OF COURSE THEY WERE!!! The *** stole my identity and opened fraudulent accounts, that's why he was arrested for his crimes! I have tried to explain the situation and have provided additional information to Equifax to prove that I was indeed a victim. I have e-mailed Celestina Spencer and Rudy Ploder several times, but neither will respond. What they are doing is completely wrong!!!!! I should not be penalized for someone else's wrongdoing.

my credit score keeps dropping and equifax won't do anything about it.they basic black mailed me into a 19.00 charge to monitor my credit and now my score keeps dropping and I don't owe any money.we need to launch a class action law suit.did you know equifax is supposed to be protecting and accurately recording our information and they are the number one company that gets security breaches on a daily basis

No customer service

I have been trying to get ahold of someone on the phone to go over a discrepancy on my credit report. The first number I called told me I needed to call during their operating hours between 8am and 6pm. I made this call at 10am on a Monday. The next number I called was strictly an automated number. I found another number and the representative I spoke to told me I needed to call a Customer Service rep at a different number. I was put on hold for nearly a half hour, then told I needed to call a number I had already called in order to deal with my Canadian account and of course this number was a strictly an automated system. It didn't help when I tried to resolve my problem by going back to the website to see if i could find an alternate way to deal with my dispute/discrepancy, but the link on the site that I needed to look at, took me to a page that was only written in french!!! I am incredibly frustrated to say the least.

Ordered free credit report but never received

i went to the free credit report government website and ordered a free credit report for Equifax. For whatever reason, Equifax could not or would not verify my information and required that I send copy of my drivers license and W-2 form showing my social security number.

they supposedly received my request and supposedly sent the report to me. I waited 3 weeks and never received the report. I called them up and they said they would send the report again - well another 3 weeks have gone by and still no report.

they said I could buy a report on their website if that would be easier.. this is a scam

5 Years and all Current documents - and they still can't get it right

I have two accounts that need to be removed. One account was a transferred account and it showed 3 late pymts. They were not late, Bell didn't close the original account. After 5 years, it was finally removed. I have another account that was my partners, it should have been removed. They have all the documents. After 5 years, and addressing the issue yet again 10 days ago, I just learned that they never started the review when I asked them to 10 days ago. I asked for 2 free months for all the issues and was told they cannot do that. If any company ran operations like Equifax, they would be not have a customer base.

Unauthorized charge on my credit card

Equifax Canada charged $16.95 to my credit card WITHOUT my authorization. I have never given EQUIFAX my credit card number nor ordered anything from them at a cost. I did not order ANYTHING from them. When I called them one person put me through to someone else who then directed me back to the first person. I am being told that Equifax Canada did not charge my credit card yet there is the charge on my credit card statement. I will try and contact my credit card company and see if they can deal with this for me. Very frustrating.
